General Academy Policies
Royalty Welding Academy requires all students to follow the policies outlined in the Student Catalog. These guidelines ensure a safe, professional, and effective training environment. Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior, follow safety procedures, attend scheduled classes, and meet program requirements.
Attendance Policy
Students must attend scheduled class hours to maintain good standing.
Excessive absences may result in dismissal from the program.
Students must notify the academy if unable to attend.
Missed hours must be made up during available lab times (if applicable).
Attendance is recorded daily and must meet minimum requirements from TWC.
Safety & Welding Lab Policies
Students must follow strict safety protocols inside the welding lab:
Always wear required PPE
No open-toed shoes
No loose clothing
No cell phone use inside the welding area
Follow all instructor directions
Use equipment only after training
Report unsafe conditions immediately
Failure to follow safety rules may result in removal from the lab
Dress Code Requirements
Students must wear proper protective clothing at all times:
Welding jacket (flame-resistant)
Long-sleeve cotton shirts
Jeans or work pants
Safety glasses
Work boots (preferably steel-toe)
No shorts, tank tops, or synthetic materials
Student Conduct Expectations
Respectful behavior toward instructors and classmates is mandatory.
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in dismissal.
Drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited on campus.
Students must maintain professionalism at all times.
Violations of conduct may result in disciplinary action per academy policy.
Grading and Evaluation
Students are evaluated on attendance, safety practices, skill development, and lab performance.
Progress is reviewed regularly with instructors.
Students must complete required training hours and demonstrate competency.
